ioGATES Speedgate Swing Turnstile Servo
Swing Gate Turnstile controls the access between public and secure areas. The Turnstiles are equipped with an array of optical sensors to determine the direction of persons passing through the lane. These sensors also act as a safety to prevent the swing arms from causing injury to users.
The standard Passage Lanes of 600mm can be customized to 900mm to accommodate Persons-with-Disability and allow enough space for wheelchair, trolleys and carts to pass through. Swing Gates are provided with standard interfaces that can easily integrate with access control system, RFID and QR Code readers, Biometric devices, smart elevator systems and other 3rd party devices.
This allows for an orderly and smooth passage for authorized personnel, while controlling visitor’s and contractor’s movements, and provide 24/7 security. Furthermore, the turnstiles are able to integrate with Fire Alarm System to automatically open the gates during emergency.

- Infrared detection sensors: The device uses several infrared sensors with transmit and receive pairs. The sensors are positioned at two different heights to detect against people trying to roll/crawl through the lane without being detected. The sensors are positioned at approximately knee height and waist height. The sensors can detect abnormal access and stay locked in that situation.
- Anti-Clamp function: Auto-alarm will activate for unauthorized pedestrian movement and tailgating. The barrier uses several photo sensors to prevent turnstile closure on a person while inside the lane.
- Auto Reset Function: During an authorized card swipe and gate opening, the user is allowed a standard default of 10 seconds to pass through. Default time can be adjustable between 1-60 seconds. If user does NOT pass through within the prescribed time, the gates will close. Furthermore, the gates will lock automatically when it be forcibly pushed 10 degrees.
- Operation Mode:
○ Free Passage allows users to pass freely through both directions.
○ Controlled Access requires the use of an RFID Card or Biometrics to passthrough.
○ Lane Closed prevents anyone from passing through. - Automatic Diagnostic Check for fault and alarm for ease of maintenance.
- Built-in Keyboard to configure setting and parameters.
- Emergency Interface Function: The turnstile gates can be interfaced to the Fire Alarm System to open automatically to meet Fire regulations. Further, emergency bypass buttons can be integrated to remotely control the opening and closing of turnstile gates.
- ADA compliant passageway widths of 900mm is available. This handicap lane can be configured without anti tailgate detection.
- LED Lights Indication Function: Traffic lights on both sides of the turnstile barrier indicate the direction of access. When the traffic lights show green, it signify passage is allowed and the red light means no entry. The traffic lights on both sides can be set to indicate access for entry or exit or bi-direction.
